- Lijit provides a nice search tool for your site that will not only search your blog, but search the blogs of your friends, and all of the related sites (Flickr, YouTube, Picasa, del.icio.us bookmarks, etc.) that you and your friends use regularly.
- Your content is extremely valuable to you and even more so to your loyal readers. Yet how many times have you done a search on a horizontal search platform like Bing, Yahoo, Ask, etc and clicked on a link in the result set only to land on the page, not dive deeper into the content other than a 2 second eye scan and bail on it via back button to return to the search results and keep on searching. Admit it! What we’re attempting to do with Welcome Lijit is prevent this from easily happening to YOUR content.

Let’s get started now. Removing these old programs is easy!
If you are using Windows XP then just follow these steps:
Start Menu -> Control Panel and select Add or Remove Programs.
Select the program you want to uninstall, and click the "Remove" button.
Also, a few things NOT to uninstall are QuickTime, Microsoft Updates, Microsoft Office, your e-mail service, photo service and more.

If you have 1-2GB of RAM, I recommend the following performance optimizations for Windows (mostly XP):
Control Panel -> System -> Advanced tab -> Performance [Settings] -> Advanced tab -> Virtual Memory [Change]
Select "No Paging file"
Control Panel -> System -> Advanced tab -> [Environment Variables]
Edit Variables TEMP and TMP.
Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Options -> Browsing History [Settings]
Click the [Move Folder] button, and assign the temp folder to your RAM drive.
Change the disk space to be slightly less than the capacity of the RAM drive.
(Firefox is a bit more involved, requires editing of one of the config files)

Do you remember, how fast the boot-up process of your old XP box was a couple of years ago?
Although, Microsoft has possessed to speed-up the boot process, but it still required to be polished.
Here, a few recommendations you can follow to speed-up your Windows XP boot time.
After having Windows XP loaded, I detected that the boot time was not as rapid as I would like. So after some groundwork, I could come up with some solutions, in order to speed up. No matter how fast your PC boots, it's not fast sufficient.
Here is a trick to help you get to your desktop more rapidly after start-up, and to let you walk away faster after shutdown.
Placing reliance on your system and how it's set up, you may see only a reasonably faster start-up rate, or you may speed up boot time dramatically. I got improvement ranging from a little over 3 seconds instead 27 seconds.
Do you get angry when the acrobat reader takes some seconds to open up when you want to open a pdf document?
